Marketing through the Internet
After we decided to shut down the family business, I needed to find other ways to earn money. My dad used to own Marietta Fence Companybut because of the dwindling economy, he decided to close it down. I was part of the Human Resources team of the company and now I am looking for something else to do. I have natural skill when it comes to wood carving so I decided to make money out of it. I needed to establish myself by marketing my business and the products that I have. My goal is to sell my products abroad and reach out to a global market.
I read a lot about online marketing and I discovered that the internet is a good place to start. It is way cheaper to advertise online, I can even use my social networking sites and build my network there. I created a website with the help of my friend who’s a web designer; it really helped the growth of my business. My pages became a venue for me to show my products to the world. Through the years, the internet became my partner in success. I plan to regain the glory our family business and this time it’s going to be called Chamblee Fence Company.
